(1)   This chair is much more comfortable than that one. (這張椅子比那張椅子舒適得多了.)

(2)   Orange juice is a little more expensive than cola. (柳澄汁比可樂貴了一點.)

例句

要點提示

Kaohsiung’s weather is nicer than Taipei’s. (高雄的天氣比台北好.)

同類型的事 物才能比較, 高雄的天氣必須要和台北的天氣比較, 不可寫成than Taipei.

Peter is the more energetic of the two. (Peter是那兩個之中較活力充沛的.)

在使用…of the two…的句型時, 比較級前面要加the.

Taipei is bigger than all the other cities/any city in Taiwan. (台北比台灣其他的城市都要大.)

City前面必須加all the other或any other, 避免和自己比較.

Sam is not as hard-working as Jean. (Sam沒有Jean來的認真.)

在as… as…的句型中, 如果加not表否定, 則意味著第二個主詞優於第一個主詞.
